Lindy Hop w/ Sammy and Candy

LINDY HOP

w/ Sammy and Candy

Jessica St Vil-Ulysse

Step into the vibrant energy of the Harlem Renaissance with our first-ever Lindy Hop Workshop at Cumbe! This exciting partner dance, born in Harlem during the 1920s and 1930s, embodies the spirit of joy, connection, and artistic expression that defined the era.

Led by the dynamic duo Sammy and Candy, this open-level class promises fun and inspiration for everyone. Samuel Coleman, a Frankie Manning Ambassador and Lindy Hop Legacy bearer, and Candice Michelle Franklin, part of the Al Minn’s Lindy Hop Next Generation Project, will guide you through the moves that once lit up the legendary Savoy Ballroom.

Whether you're celebrating Black History Month or looking for a unique way to spend Valentine’s Day with your partner or loved one, this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to connect, have fun, and share a memorable experience with this dynamic dance style rooted in the energy of the Harlem Renaissance. Bring a partner or come solo, and get ready to swing out and celebrate!

Class Date: Sunday, February 16th
