Cumbe is excited to join forces with Warrington Hudlin, organizer of the Official NYC World Tai Chi Day, for a community gathering for serenity, strength, and vitality.
Tai Chi is a non-impact exercise that works wonders for your body and mind. With its emphasis on body awareness, postural alignment, coordination, strength, and flexibility, it offers a harmonious workout while minimizing stress on your joints. This gentle yet powerful exercise is the perfect activity to accompany you throughout your life's journey. Its flowing movements and deep, natural breathing enhance your well-being while soothing your soul.
The day features Form demonstrations by long time practitioners and lessons for every skill level. Learn and practice Push Hands, a partner based training method derived from the ancient art of Tai Chi,that refines our understanding of energy flow, timing, and reflexes. This interactive experience fosters adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to harmonize with an opponent's force. The Day’s schedule also includes a lecture on the connection between Tai Chi and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
