Cumbe welcomes Rosangela Silvestre for her first intensive workshop with us this spring in her Silvestre Technique. This week-long deep dive will take you through Ms. Silvestre’s Technique, Symbology, Orixa Dances and Caboclo in daily workshops to culminate in an informal showing of a collectively created work.

Since our inception Cumbe has been committed to perpetuating Katherine Dunham’s legacy and contribution to the Arts and Humanities through classes, interviews with her legacy carriers, special programming and raising awareness via social media
