Get your body moving and those waist lines rolling in this vibrant and energetic Dance for Joy workshop class, where Master Artist Andoche Loubaki will guide you through the rich and diverse dance traditions of the Congo. Experience Sa Nga Sa, a dynamic blend of muyirika, poloca pike, and rumba, representing three generations of Congolese dance—honoring the past, celebrating the present, and embracing the future. With the lively beats of the Ngoma Drum setting the rhythm, you’ll warm up with isolations and stretches, preparing your body to embrace both traditional and modern dance styles. This class not only teaches the sacred and celebratory dances of the Congo but also shares the cultural stories and songs that accompany them. Engage with the community, move your body, and feel the joy of connecting with these powerful rhythms in our donation-based, 10-week series.
