A Letter to Our Community

We have recently been informed by our landlord, The Billie Holiday Theatre/Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation that 247 Herkimer Street — the building that houses our dance studios — has been closed indefinitely due to facility issues.

As a result, all Cumbe in-studio classes are canceled through the end of 2025, our special workshops and community events will continue as planned, and we will keep our community updated on the location for each event as it is confirmed.

While we navigate this unexpected transition, we are actively searching for temporary space to continue offering programming. In the meantime.

If you have leads or suggestions for potential temporary spaces, please reach out to us at info@cumbedance.org or (718) 935-9700 ext. 101.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We remain committed to serving our community and will keep you informed as we move forward.
