You may see Cumbe staff (including our marketing team and teachers) taking photos or videos of our virtual and in-person classes and events. These images are an important way in which we document and promote our classes.
We will always respect your privacy and wishes, so if you don’t want to be photographed or videotaped, please let either the studio assistants or the photographer know and we will be sure not to capture you in the footage.
In addition, please note that we record our virtual classes for quality control and may make those recordings available to our community on a limited basis. Please note that we only record the instructor on those videos; students are not recorded.
Thank you! We appreciate you being a part of our community.

Pet and Service Animal Policy
At the Cumbe Center for African and Diaspora Dance, we celebrate culture, movement, and community. To maintain a safe and welcoming space for all, pets are not permitted inside our facility.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we do welcome service animals that are individually trained to assist a person with a disability.
Please note the following:
Emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion pets are not recognized as service animals under the ADA and are not allowed.
Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents their use.
The handler is responsible for the care, supervision, and behavior of the service animal at all times.
We appreciate your understanding as we ensure a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for all members of our community.
